51Shogi publishes educational material about shogi for beginners and improving players. This page explains the limits of that material and the site’s relationship to outside organizations and services.
Educational scope
Articles, diagrams, move sequences, exercises, and study plans are provided for general learning. They are not official tournament rulings, professional coaching, or instructional certification. For a competition-specific question, consult the organizer and the applicable official rules.
Accuracy and corrections
51Shogi aims to use careful terminology and practical examples, but an explanation or diagram may still contain an error or become outdated. Material is reviewed and corrected when a substantiated issue is found. The editorial and correction process is described on the About page.
Results and interpretation
Shogi positions often admit more than one reasonable plan. A strategy that works in one position may fail when the move order, pieces in hand, king safety, or time control changes. No particular improvement, rating gain, or game result is guaranteed.
Independent site
51Shogi is an independent educational website. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or an official publication of the Japan Shogi Association or a commercial shogi platform.
External links
Links to outside websites are provided for context or convenience. 51Shogi does not control their availability, content, security, or privacy practices. Review the policies and terms of an external service before using it.
Advertising and affiliations
51Shogi may display automatically selected advertising, including Google AdSense. An advertisement does not constitute a personal endorsement by 51Shogi. The site does not currently participate in affiliate programs; any future affiliate relationship will be disclosed clearly where it is relevant.
Availability and liability
The site and its content are provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by applicable law, 51Shogi is not responsible for losses arising from reliance on the material, use of an external service, or temporary site unavailability.
